Green Race 2012: ci saremo anche noi del MRC
Corsa e sole (speriamo) per la Green Race 2012 al Parco delle Cave di Milano. Ci saremo anche io e Marcello Di Caterina, Presidente del Montecitorio Running Club
Come saprete, in queste settimane stiamo preparando la Maratona di New York del prossimo 4 novembre e contano di completare la gara di 10 km ma poi di proseguire per almeno altri 15/20 km di impegnativo allenamento con amici e compagni di Club. Sport e ambiente celebrano una giornata all’insegna dell’ecorunning, la disciplina che coniuga gare sportive e ambienti di particolare bellezza ambientale e paesaggistica. In zona Baggio, a Milano, questo bellissimo parco con laghetti, boschi, prati e antiche cascine è stato giudicato ideale campo di gara per questa importante manifestazione promossa dal Comune di Milano, dalla Federazione Italiana di Atletica Leggera e con Amsa Major Sponsor.
Il programma, dalle ore 10,30, prevede una gara agonistica di 10 km, a cui hanno aderito oltre800 atleti (record della gara) e una prova più breve di 2 km con le caratteristiche di una corsa/camminata/passeggiata ecologica a cui sono attesi bambini, ragazzi e famiglie (oltre 2.000 lo scorso anno…). Questo mini-percorso costeggia il laghetto Cava Cabassi attraverso la “zona umida” ricca di suggestivi scorci ambientali, particolare flora e anche piccoli e curiosi animali (farfalle, papere, anatre, germani reali, gallinelle d’acqua… ) oltre ad inattesi pesci e tartarughe.
ISCRIZIONI > Le iscrizioni, gratuite, sono possibili da Decathon Cairoli e in una serie di negozi segnalati sul sito www.greenrace.it; è possibile aderire anche domenica mattina, dalle ore 9, fino ad esaurimento pettorali.
In occasione di Green Race 2012 ci sarà anche l’emozionante presenza della torcia della pace del progetto World Harmony Run che ogni anno coinvolge oltre 100 nazioni nel mondo.
